According to Ms Simmons the word Fabulous describes a way of life- viewers can see that every part of her daily life is full of ‘fabulosity’ (a word that she regularly uses throughout the show in several variations) She explains that it’s not only how you dress, but how you present yourself. However airy fairy it might sound to some, I have to agree with her. Apart from the fact that she is a multi-billionaire who has a team of people at her beck and call, which means she can afford to look and present herself in a Fabulous way at all times- being Fabulous is a state of mind. I guess you can say that it’s an attitude; enjoying life and making the most of it.
There are a dozen of my friends who I associate with being fabulous. If it’s not their personality, it’s there approach to life, their drive, style or even their talent. Take for instance my good friend Luba, she is fabulous- her style, her personality and her womanly strength. My Best friend Kemi, her warmth, cheer and professionalism is Fabulous. Danielle, Anjuli, Laurah, Christiana, Angela, Natalie O and R, Carolyn, Eleasah, Alison- to name but a few- all of these women are Fabulous.
Unlike many reality shows out there, LITFL- is a pick me up for all women who have ambition and creativity. In today’s episode (17/06/09) Kimora explained that she wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth- she was ‘ordinary’; one of the girls who used to get picked on because of her ‘strange’ features. She said that the kids would call her giraffe because of her height and would not understand her look. This all changed when her mother enrolled her into model school and she was spotted. Suddenly all of the features and physical attributes that people made fun of were what got her to where she is now.
We can do it girls. Whatever others may regard as worthless- use it, make it your own- Own it!
We can be fabulous with what we have- it has no boundaries, no rules.
Stay Fabulous….
